But how is this information communicated to customers further down the supply chain? In the case of substances and mixtures, Candidate List substances present above 0.1% are usually identified in the safety data sheet. For articles, however, the SCIP notification operated by the Agency is more common and, in this case, mandatory. The SCIP number obtained through this notification can be used to identify the Candidate List substance throughout the supply chain.
The Agency provides the tools required for the notification, but the actual submission must be carried out by the manufacturer, importer, or their representative. We are happy to assist you with this.
